Louise Everett
My name is Louise Everett, and I am interested in running for the SCOV Pickleball Club Board of Directors. I was appointed to the board in March 2025 and have served as the treasurer on the board. My husband, John, and I have been residents of Sun City since May of 2022 and have been playing pickleball for about 5 years.
I grew up in Spokane, WA and after living in Seattle for several years, John and I raised our three children in Spokane. I graduated from the University of Washington with a major in Accounting and worked for one of the Big 4 accounting firms for seven years. I then worked for several different companies and retired as the CFO of a privately held hospitality company.
In addition, I have volunteered for numerous non-profit entities, usually as the treasurer, and I enjoy getting involved in community groups.
I have enjoyed being part of the pickleball club since moving to SCOV. Meeting many different people, participating in pickup games, round robins and tournaments have been a highlight for me. I would love to continue to give back to the club as a member of the board of directors.

Laurie Brown
Hola, my name is Laurie Brown and I would like you to know a bit about me and why I want to serve on the SCOV Pickleball Board.
My husband and I have lived in SCOV for six years and we have been active members of the SCOV Pickleball Club. While I am a very regular player, my husband Doug, has been sidelined with injuries. Before living in SCOV, we lived in Southwest WA where we both grew up. Doug grew up in the small town of Washougal and I was raised in Camas. We knew each other from a young age and got married in 1979. After having three children (boys), I went back to school to and received my teaching degree from Portland State University. I began my career with Karen Burnham as she was my first teaching partner! I taught elementary education for 30 years and raised (with Doug’s help) three wonderful sons. Now, along with Karen and Dave and Jerry Moss (my principal for 20 years) we enjoy this beautiful place: SCOV!
Pickleball is an integral part of my life. Not only do I love the game, I love the social side, and all the friendships I’ve made over the years. After spending a large portion of the summer away, I start longing for the courts and my friends!
I am a current member of the board and we are working hard to be inclusive, to create a fun and positive atmosphere, and to make sure all members feel their needs are met. Of course, we can’t please all the people all the time, but we can try.

Beth Nuveen
When Paul and I arrived in SCOV in January 2021, my first stop was the pickleball courts. I have a tennis background but had never touched a paddle. Not only did I quickly discover a passion, I found a welcoming, inclusive group of friends that has continued to grow.
Within my first year, I was recruited into the Social Planning Committee. I volunteer for the beginner drop-in groups and the clinics each year. It would be an honor to continue volunteering as a member of the Board.

Ralph Perillo
I am running for the Board of Directors to continue my support of the Club and sport. I was appointed to the Board and serve as First Vice President. In that office I have coordinated Maintenance of the courts and equipment. I am also responsible making and posting the schedule. I have played pickleball for approximately 23 years and served as a referee at many tournaments. I have also served as president of a smaller club in the area. Many years ago I scheduled a mixer at SCOV with members of my former club. It was great playing at SCOV!
We have 5 state-of-the-art courts, and like many active adult HOA’s have Pickleball courts on a Tennis court. I believe we have a good relationship with the Tennis Club. I enjoyed the mixer they sponsored this year and I learned quickly, I am not good at tennis, but it was fun! It might be fun to invite the Tennis Club members to a mixer on our Pickleball courts.
The SCOV Pickleball club is filled with members who step up. By this I mean we have volunteers who help maintain the courts, provide clinics, create awesome parties, and in many, many other ways! I would like to continue to help support these volunteers and activities. If you believe I have helped improve the club in any way, I would appreciate your support and vote to continue as a member of the SCOV Pickleball board of directors.
