As you may know we are trying to get courts 6 & 7 striped for pickleball use exclusively. The tennis club has been gracious in agreeing to move forward with the striping project. To go along with new lines on the 2 courts, your club leadership would like to replace the 2 nets on those courts with a professional net system by Selkirk. Pictured below is a sample of the net and, aside from the colors and background, what the courts would look like with fresh paint and new nets.
Our current nets cost about $500 each, last about 1 1/4 years and has a 90-day warranty. They just don’t last. The net system from Selkirk sells for $2,700 each from Pickleball Central and includes a 5-year warranty, including the net. There is no comparison regarding quality. The club has already secured $2,700 from the Sun City Vistoso Foundation for 1 net system and that money is in the bank.
You are voting to match that number and buy the second net. If the majority vote NO we will have to return the funds to the foundation, who has been very kind to provide these funds. Below is the ballot to vote for or against the purchase of the second net.
